The GOLD Standard.

The GOLD Standard.

The GOLDStandard.

…this isn’t just any jazz or cover band.

Let’s be honest.

Many cover bands profess to offer a jazz/swing set, and can stumble-through “Fly Me To the Moon.” But our musicians are highly educated, experienced, and have played this timeless music at the TOP level.

That’s why wedding couples, corporations and even those other cover bands call us when they need a real jazz band.

You can hear and see the difference.

VIDEOS

STAR-STUDDED, RETRO RAMBLERS.

Our bands are fresh, authentic, and anything but a tired tribute act.

Each musician is a frontman in their own right, and can be trusted to deliver not just the perfect sound, but an entertaining show.

Who We Are.

Headed by CEO & Bandleader, Mark Kopitzke.

A cross between Frank Sinatra & Michael Bublé - and with an irresistible energy all his own, Mark is flown all over the world to deliver the real thing.

With 9 years on the road as lead singer for the 1940s Big Band, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, he’s got one foot rooted firmly in Swing royalty, and the other launching him off stages, and onto the dance floor.

We can combine styles from all retro eras. So you can start your night doin’ the Charleston in a speakeasy, and end it groovin’ to Mustang Sally.

Time Travelers

* * * NEW * * *

We also now offer a final 45 minute set of some “Jazzified” TOP 40 Hits from more recent eras (1980s - today).

All done in our own unique jazz-groove style. These songs are perfect for still keeping the night classy, while appeasing everyone from your 6 year old niece, Gen X, Y, & Z, and your grandfather.

The band will seamlessly ‘time travel’ and ramp up the energy to “hand off” to our DJ—who’ll continue the party until the sun comes up.

* Frequently Asked Questions *

  • Of course! We love to travel! We do charge extra for the time depending on the distance.

Ask for an official quote based on the specifics of your event.

  • Yes! Our quotes include us setting up and operating our own sound system.

If your event is larger than 350 attendees, or requires sound in multiple spaces we’ll provide an updated quote.

We also can work with whatever Audio Visual vendor is part of your event already.

  • We have a solid repertoire of songs that will please all of your guests from your 6-year old niece to your grandfather.

It’s always important to have some freedom to read the room on the night; but our number one priority is pleasing YOU. Just let us know what you want to hear, and, if it’s not already in our repertoire, we’ll work with you to make your night perfect.

You can also give us a list of songs that you love and songs that you dislike on your planning page–we’ll base our choices on your music preferences.

  • A meal (to fuel ourselves!), electrical power (to fuel our instruments!), and a covered space on a flat, hard, dry surface to play.

We do not require a stage, but will play on one if provided.

  • Absolutely! We play ALL weddings and happily celebrate love. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

  • Yes! We can provide a Master or Mistress of Ceremonies for a smooth, continuous flow of the evening’s speeches and entertainment.

Provide a rundown of what you’d like the MC to say throughout the night up to 2 weeks before the event.

    $200

  • We certainly don’t require a stage to perform; but, if you choose to have one, it does make us feel like rockstars! Below are some approximate footprints for various band sizes – please ask if you still aren’t sure.

    3-4pc band : 8'x12'

    5-6pc band : 12'x16'

    7-9pc band : 12'x20' minimum or 12'x24' preferred

    10-14pc band: 12'x24'

  • The band has various looks including, black formal tuxedos and bow ties, or skinny ties for more formal occasions.

Varied colors of linen suits perfect for a spring wedding or 60s mod night, and can dress down or up depending on the occasion.

Colors generally range from: grays, browns, blues, greens, and even some burgundy and orange.

Our singers have multiple options, including tailcoats and gowns.

  • Absolutely! Please tell us your requests.

  • Just make sure you give us enough notice of your special request so we can look into sourcing the music, and the band has time to learn the song.

*Depending on how obscure the request, a small fee may apply.

  • Our typical quote, and the industry standard, is for a maximum 5-hour event including set up and break down.

This includes 3 × 50 minute sets, with intermittent breaks, to be spread throughout the night as you feel best. With speeches and other formalities, you’ll find this is usually the perfect amount of time to have the band playing.

If you require a longer event and more sets, we are happy to discuss adding extra hours at little cost. Also, please know that we are always flexible to your needs.

This 5-hour timeline breakdown is our standard recommendation, but anything can be customized to your plan. Talk to us about your ideas and dreams and we’ll do our best to accommodate!

  • The band can absolutely play during dinner, but we’d recommend using your sets when your guests are ready to stand up and get dancing.

Our typical event reception includes 3 × 50-minute sets with short DJ sets between the band sets. If you would like a dinner set, please let us know ahead of time as we defer to playing after-dinner sets unless otherwise instructed. You can always pay for extra time if you want a dinner set in addition to all four dance sets.

  • Yes! The mic and sound system is already hooked up, so we’re happy to provide a mic for your officiant, speeches, and any other announcements provided those are in the same spot as the reception band.

Please, no “drop the mic” moments! This equipment is expensive and, contrary to popular belief, it does break when dropped–which you definitely don’t want to risk right before your reception. Speak to us regarding booking a secondary sound system in a separate area.

  • When you book the band, you’ll make a 20% initial payment to secure your date. The remaining amount is due two weeks before your event.

  • Yes, but we typically require cover (tent, awning, umbrella, etc.) and a flat, hard, dry surface to play on.

Instruments don’t sound as nice when wet (trust us!) and electrical cords mixed with water can be a fire hazard.

If it is very cold, up to a point, we will require you to provide heaters for the band.

Also, heat can damage instruments, so please keep this in mind when placing your band and have a backup plan just in case!

  • Yes, we can! We want you to have the time of your life but we appreciate the heads up if you think you’re event will run long. Just like your other on-site vendors, we do charge for the extra time.

In your contract, we typically include a rate for one 30min overtime set, which we can confirm with you and band members in the moment.

  • While many of our performances aren’t open to the public, we typically have some public shows - check out our schedule here.
